What are some of the most amazing things you experience that are often taken for granted?

Your friends

Your family

Your significant other

I find that one of the most common things that people take for granted are the people in their lives, and more importantly their stories

A story can be anything, but typically it is a snapshot of their life that offers so much uniqueness and individuality that you can’t help but be fascinated

These stories are often overlooked, and many times are rarely even brought to the table in a conversation

I am here to tell you that some of the most fascinating and best learning experiences I have ever had in my life were when I had a engrossing LISTENING experience with my friends and family and even a stranger that I met for a few moments

Here are some tips and insight I have received while actively pursuing the stories of the many people I have met in my adventures around the world

So I have developed this new segment that is called, “Light a Fire under Your Ass”

Essentially what these segments will be simple, yet effective, tips and motivations for you to get things accomplished in your life

These are perfect for being taped to your fridge or office door or in this case, on top of your bag of Doritos……

So, how often are you going to the gym in any given week?

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that 7 out of 10 Americans do not get recommended exercise with 55% of Americans do not work out as per the recommend amounts (3 days a week for 20 minutes) and that 26% of Americans partake in no physical activity whatsoever

So chances are, you are busying sipping on your Starbucks latte and reading this article instead of doing a short workout to start your day 😉

What does this mean?

It means that your love handles have become your “most loving” handles and your stomach has become somewhat reminiscent of the Pillsbury dough boy

Fear not, I am here to kick your ass into gear and give you some much needed ammunition in order to haul your ass to your gym, home workout equipment, or even ab-lounge in a concise effort to make you that much more healthy and sexy

10 Creative Quotes by Famous Artists

starrynight

While not everyone is interested in the arts, everyone can appreciate it

Whether you are admiring Warhol’s Campbell Soup, basking in the utter brilliance of Michelangelo’s David or even watching your 5 year old color outside the lines, there is no doubt that art plays a critical part in our lives

While many of the artists we know of get a bad rap for being crazy, socially retarded, or simply weird, the fact is that even if they are busy cutting off a part of their ear for their girlfriend, they still had a lot of insight into the human mind, especially the areas of creativity

Here are 10 quotes by famous artists that might make you disrobe for the next person looking for a model

I tell you, the more I think, the more I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.

Vincent Van Gogh

Only put off until tomorrow what you are willing to die having left undone.

Pablo Picasso

One can have no smaller or greater mastery than mastery of oneself.

Leonardo da Vinci

Truth and reality in art do not arise until you no longer understand what you are doing and are capable of but nevertheless sense a power that grows in proportion to your resistance.

Henri Matisse

If people knew how hard I worked to get my mastery, it wouldn’t seem so wonderful at all.

Michelangelo

An empty canvas is a living wonder.. far lovelier than certain pictures.

Kandinsky

Practice what you know, and it will help to make clear what now you do not know.

Rembrandt

No amount of skillful invention can replace the essential element of imagination.

Edward Hopper

I think you have to control the materials to an extent, but it’s important to let the materials have a kind of power for themselves; like the natural power of gravity, if you are painting on a wall, it makes the paint trickle and it drips; there is no reason to fight that.

Keith Haring

Every good painter paints what he is.

Jackson Pollock

This is what my neighbor across the street used to hilariously call, “A mind numbing, soul leeching day”

Now maybe this isn’t your job, and maybe you LOVE what you do and wake up every day not to a job, but rather a LIFESTYLE

If so avert your eyes

But for everyone else, I am here to tell you that you don’t have to work some shit job you don’t like

Being Truly Alive As Generation Y

While I was on my US tour, someone sent me a very interesting video that showcases the mentality of many people that exist in the world today. This video is particularly applicable to futures generations, including my own generation Y, as with the information age on the rise, people are often feeling less connected to others, and more connected to a screen, job, or even a paycheck.

If you are going to watch the video be sure to watch it the whole way through, because the video also makes a valid positive point that speaks to everyone and I know anyone is capable of, no matter what their circumstances or mentality
