Well that day is finally arrived

I am sitting here in San Jose, CA anxiously awaiting the start of the Anthony Robbins UPW conference

I feel as if a lot of highs and lows in my life have led me directly to this moment, and that this day will serve as a launchpad for the future of the rest of my life

Yesterday I answered some pregame questions and stalked the conference like a ninja during setup and snapped a few photos of the UPW as a WIP from my “kick-ass” cell phone camera, I think you ll really appreciate the fine quality and time  that went into these photos 😉

The Day of Glory is Nearing

I thought I would give you guys an update as to what I have been up to over the last few days so that A) I assure you that I have not yet been abducted by Swedish super models who will cater to my every whim and that B) I have not yet begun to tap into the limitless resources that will ultimately translate into kickass content for this site and my personal development company

That being said I don’t want to be a tease to you

A few months back I mentioned that I had decided to attend and Anthony Robbins conference in San Jose, and that I was ridiculously excited to attend the event

Well…..nothing has changed, I am mentally, emotionally, and physically ready to get the most out of this conference, and more importantly, to take what I get out of the conference to drastically improve my life, and those around me

The second part of attending this trip is that I decided I was going to go to a bunch of major cities all across the US, because seriously why the $%^& wouldn’t I when the round trip plane ticket to San Jose from Detroit was $350 to start?

I changed my flight to a one way and booked trips to a plethora of major cities

My kickassadventureacrossamericatour is as follows

Detroit -> Minneapolis -> Salt Lake City -> San Jose -> San Francisco -> Los Angeles -> Phoenix -> Austin -> Charlotte -> Detroit

The whole trip is going to cost me 600$ with room and board (See how to go on an exotic vacation for nothing)

A fairly epic trip that is going to last about a month, and I’m literally ready to leave now and campout at the airport because of my level of excitement has reached the equivalent of a teenage girl standing in line to see the new Twilight movie

The best news about this trip is that I am bringing my blackberry and my laptop and fully plan on maintain and updating this blog on the same schedule that you and I have grown so accustomed to (otherwise I sense a group of angry villagers setting fire angry mob style 😉 )

Expect updates on the conference via this page, through facebook, and twitter updates

Some amazing stuff is in the pipeline for this site, and I can’t wait to unleash it on you guys and the world

Flight leaves tomorrow at 7:40am…….see you on the other side

Motivation 101 with Al Pacino

This is Al Pacino giving an amazing speech during the film, “Any Given Sunday” in which he motivates his team by telling them about the inches in life, and how you need to fight for those inches so you can achieve your dreams.

Find the inches that mean something in your life, whether they are in your relationships, finances, health, anything that you want to push to the next level and commit yourself to fighting for those changes. If you commit yourself to fighting for what you want in any area of life, you will find that your new found virtuosity and leverage will drastically effect the outcome of your life in the most positive manner possible.

How to Kick Your Morning’s Ass without Caffeine

Coffee1

Wake up, take a shower, have a cup of coffee

This is the morning philosophy for millions of people around the world

Coffee has become the staple of the breakfast (even late afternoon snack) for many of us, and while the benefits for many are clear, one has to wonder what are the short term and long term effects of drinking coffee on the regular? Do we need caffeine to get up and the morning and make our day run smoothly?

Laugh and Learn: 8 Quotes by Famous Comedians

bill_cosby_himself

Whether we are out seeing the latest in greatest in stand-up comedy, having a few good laughs with friends, or even seeing the next reincarnation of American Pie, everyone loves a good laugh

While comedians and their jokes offer a great escape and chance to unwind after a long day of filing TPS reports and help us from getting into a fist fight with the office copy machine the next day at the office, many people don’t look to comedians for life advice

And while I wouldn’t blame anyone for not wanting to get life advice from someone who is making fart jokes and making fun of how Britney Spears looks in a tube top, the fact is that many of the comedians of this century were incredibly insightful and had great outlooks on life that we can all apply in our daily lives

“As long as the world is turning and spinning, we’re gonna be dizzy and we’re gonna make mistakes.”
Mel Brooks

“If you aren’t in the moment, you are either looking forward to uncertainty, or back to pain and regret. “
Jim Carrey

“No matter what people tell you, words and ideas can change the world.”
Robin Williams

“I’ve always had confidence. It came because I have lots of initiative. I wanted to make something of myself.”
Eddie Murphy

“Never continue in a job you don’t enjoy. If you’re happy in what you’re doing, you’ll like yourself, you’ll have inner peace. And if you have that, along with physical health, you will have had more success than you could possibly have imagined. “
Johnny Carson

“In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.”
Bill Cosby

“I’ve always been in the right place and time. Of course, I steered myself there.”
Bob Hope

“To me, if life boils down to one thing, it’s movement. To live is to keep moving.”
Jerry Seinfeld

And one just for laughs 😉

“I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, “Where’s the self-help section?” She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose. “
George Carlin
